Live Host & Video Content Creator Job | Gaya Home

We're hiring at Gaya Home. Enjoy being on camera, talking to people and creating videos? Join our furniture team to host livestreams and create content showcasing our products, from the showroom to customers' homes.

Basic salary: RM2,500–RM3,000 per month, depending on skills and experience, plus performance incentives.
Employment type: Full-time.

Work location

Currently based in Sunway Mentari, with an upcoming permanent relocation to SetiaWalk, Puchong. Applicants should be able to work at our current location and at SetiaWalk after the move.

The role also involves travelling to customer delivery locations to film delivered furniture.

Working hours

Our initial weekly schedule is 6 working days: 4 day shifts and 2 night shifts, with 1 rest day per week.

  • Day shift: 10:30 AM–7:00 PM, 4 days per week.
  • Night shift: 3:30 PM–12:00 midnight, 2 days per week.
  • Break: 1 hour per shift.
  • Total working time: 7.5 hours per day, 45 hours per week, excluding breaks.

You must be comfortable working the scheduled night shifts until midnight.

What you'll do

  • Host engaging livestreams on TikTok, Shopee and Facebook.
  • Present furniture, demonstrate product features, answer viewers' questions and encourage enquiries and purchases.
  • Plan video ideas and prepare simple scripts or talking points.
  • Film and edit every video you create for TikTok, Facebook and Instagram, including cutting footage, adding captions, music and basic effects.
  • Create product showcases, showroom highlights, furniture tips and promotional videos.
  • Visit customer delivery locations to film delivered furniture in its actual setting, coordinating with our delivery team and obtaining customer consent before filming.
  • Respect customer privacy when recording inside homes and preparing videos for publication.
  • Learn our products so you can present information confidently and accurately.
  • Prepare completed videos and coordinate with the team member assisting with posting and publishing.

Your focus is live hosting, filming and video editing. Another team member will assist with publishing; you will not be expected to independently manage our social media accounts.

Who we're looking for

  • Confident and comfortable speaking on camera, with a friendly and engaging personality.
  • Able to film and edit short videos using CapCut or similar software.
  • Familiar with TikTok, Facebook and Instagram video formats.
  • Willing and able to travel to customer delivery locations for filming.
  • Available for the stated day and night shift schedule.
  • Reliable, organised and comfortable coordinating with showroom and delivery teams.
  • Interested in furniture and willing to learn about our products.
  • Previous live-hosting, sales or content-creation experience is an advantage. Fresh graduates with relevant skills and sample videos are welcome.
